Moveo’s physical theatre and corporeal mime specialisation programme
The third-year program is exclusively designed for students who have successfully graduated from the diploma program.
The main objective of this program is to delve deeper into the study of corporeal mime and physical theatre, while also helping students to build an autonomous practice in both technical and artistic fields. Throughout the program, students are given the opportunity to hone their skills and explore new techniques, all under the guidance of experienced teaching staff. By the end of the program, students will have acquired a comprehensive understanding of corporeal mime and physical theatre, and will be well-equipped to pursue a career in this field.
Devised project
The Specialisation Program is designed for each student to develop their own creative project throughout the course, taking a step towards professionalization in the field of physical theatre and corporeal mime.
This process starts in the second quarter, when the students submit a first file with their proposal, which will be evaluated to shape their development. From there, a follow-up of each production phase is established, culminating in a work-in-progress show in a theatre in Barcelona.
The conception and format of the work are completely free, allowing each student to explore their own artistic voice while applying the knowledge acquired. In addition, they can integrate external collaborators into their artistic team, thus expanding the creative possibilities of the project.
During the months of May and June, the students have a rehearsal space at the Moveo Centre, as well as the possibility of doing residencies in artistic centres in the city. The whole process is accompanied by the teaching staff, who offer advice and follow-up at each stage, guaranteeing a solid and professional development of the creation.
This project is not only an opportunity to apply the tools learned, but also to generate a stage piece that the students can continue to develop beyond the course, allowing them to start their path in the professional scene with their own creation.
The projects are presented in venues in Barcelona, for example: Civic Center Parc Sandaru, Can Felipa or Centre Cultural la Bóbila
